Colour and Style Tips by Susan - SZDesigns Image Stylist
The latest fashions have hit the shops and your best colours haven’t made it to this season’s colour palette! So, what do you do now?
Look back at your colour swatch (provided by SZdesigns of course!) and venture out to uncover all the other fantastic colours that you can wear that you just haven’t discovered yet.
The further away from your face that you wear a colour the easier it is to wear. This means you can include those ‘not so you’ colours on the lower half of your body and maybe balance with some accessories on the top.
Accessories can be a saviour when it comes to colour compromise. They can expand the versatility of your clothes. Casual clothing can quickly become business attire and a conservative suit can receive a fashionable edge. However, the rules of accessories must always be considered when it comes to their application, no matter when.
1. They must remain in sync with current trends
2. They must attract attention to your best features
3. They must be in balance with your scale.
Try also to keep you accessories in balance with the colours and textures that this season brings.
By simply limiting your colour selection in your garments, you can lightly add the essential trends of this season with your accessories by way of colour or texture. This affect can be achieved by focusing more on the colour of your accessories not just the metallic factor.
Accessories can give the most mundane outfit sophistication, flair and individuality in seconds.
In order to master the art of accessorising you need to climb out of any rut you may be in - try and play. Be adventurous, learn to trust your instincts.
It is all about being stylish, flattering and current when you are looking for the perfect outcome with embellishments, remembering that for most women stylishness will be born out of knowing when to stop.
